Ornge is specifically committed to career development opportunities for paramedics and offers Canadian Medical Association (CMA) accredited Advanced Care and Critical Care certification programs - Ornge is one of the only transport medicine organizations to receive CMA recognition. Other technical programs are offered via the Ornge Academy of Transport Medicine.
We are also committed to advancing the frontiers of transport medicine. Innovations include the operation of the state-of-the-art Mobile Simulation technology, including use of METI Human Patient Simulation (HPS) capable of dynamic cardiovascular, pulmonary and pharmacological responses. Ornge’s HPS program travels throughout the province conducting high-level training scenarios.
