In September, 2009 Ornge marked the 10th anniversary of its dedicated land base in Ottawa. At an event on September 30, former patient Hilary McNamee was reunited with the Ornge paramedics who saved her life. It was their first meeting since Hilary suffered devastating injuries and was airlifted by Ornge after being struck by a minivan while cycling.
