Information for Patients
My name is Denise Polgar, and I am Ornge’s first Patient Advocate. I have a background as a paramedic, ambulance communications officer, educator and injury prevention specialist, and I am excited to take on this new challenge.
My role as a patient advocate is to navigate healthcare concerns on behalf of patients and their families. I will facilitate resolutions that benefit the patients and will look for ways to improve future processes. I am here to serve patients and protect their rights!
Patients can rely on me to promote the Patient Declaration of Values while upholding patient privacy. I will explain the concerns process and communicate with you what to expect in terms of follow up. I will work in conjunction with multiple healthcare stakeholders to improve the patient experience. Ornge is dedicated to providing exceptional care and I look forward to supporting those we serve: our patients.
