Ornge’s second annual Air Ambulance Golf Classic was a sold out event that brought many people together for a day of fun and the opportunity to give back to the community.

This year’s event raised approximately $15,000 from participating teams, generous sponsors and live auctions, which will directly support Outward Bound’s Indigenous Youth programs.

"Outward Bound Canada is grateful to Ornge for selecting us as their charitable partner for this year's golf tournament. Their support of our programs for Indigenous youth offers greater access to our experiential outdoor education programming,” Said Stefanie Crispino, Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, Outward Bound Canada,  “thanks to this partnership, more Indigenous youth will have the chance to participate in expeditions that help them reconnect with their culture and discover their personal and leadership capacity."
Ornge’s partnership with Outward Bound Canada raised funds and awareness for Indigenous Youth initiatives and programs across the country. These programs serve and work within Metis, Inuit and Indigenous communities offering innovation and opportunity to young people. Their mission is to inspire long term success in tandem with cultural preservation and pride.

“To be able to partner with and support an organization like Outward Bound Canada that shares a lot of the same values as Ornge is a privilege. Outward Bound’s commitment to Indigenous youth in the North is commendable. Their commitment and passion is a reflection of our own as we proudly service the Indigenous communities of Northern Ontario.  We at Ornge thank everyone who attended the golf classic for their participation and generosity,” noted Andrew Mccallum, President and CEO, Ornge.

Volunteers and participants were lucky to experience a day with beautiful weather and even better company. Prizes on the greens throughout the day drove home the theme of healthy, fun competition and teamwork.
