Ornge to film landing zone safety video in Uxbridge. Residents may notice increased Ornge helicopter activity on June 14. 

Ornge, Ontario’s provider of air ambulance and related services, would like to advise Uxbridge residents of increased Ornge helicopter traffic surrounding Fields of Uxbridge on Thursday, June 14, 2018 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.* 

Alongside Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), Durham Regional Paramedic Service (DPS) and the Uxbridge Fire Department (UFD), Ornge will be filming a landing zone safety video in Fields of Uxbridge. Once complete, this video will be made available to first responders across Ontario to help ensure the safety of first responders, crew and patients across the province when interacting with an Ornge helicopter.

During this timeframe, Uxbridge residents may hear or witness an Ornge helicopter landing at and departing from Fields of Uxbridge. 

Ornge will work with our colleagues from DRPS, DPS and UFD to secure the area from vehicular and pedestrian traffic to ensure the safety of nearby residences and businesses.
