As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to unfold, we are making the protection of Ornge staff and continuity of operations a top priority. One of the ways we can accomplish both goals is through the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE).
As a result, Ornge is asking the community to donate any of the following unused & unopened supplies to help protect our staff and patients from COVID-19:
- Masks (N95, surgical, tri-fold, face shields etc.)
- Gowns
- Eye protection
- Hand sanitizer
- Gloves
Those in the veterinary, construction, salon, tattoo, dentistry and cosmetic surgery industries may have access to this vital equipment. We are unable to accept previously opened or used supplies.
Businesses and individuals who donate supplies worth $50 or more may be eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt with accompanying documentation upon delivery (i.e. invoices/receipts to show proof of fair value, Organization name, first name, last name, e-mail, address, etc.)
Dropping off donations
Donations can be dropped off at any of our base locations in London, Mississauga, Ottawa, Peterborough, Sudbury, Timmins, Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, Kenora or Moosonee. Please contact
communityrelations@ornge.ca to make arrangements and schedule a drop off time so proper safety precautions can be taken.
Questions
If you have questions about other personal protective equipment in your possession which may be helpful to fight COVID-19, please contact
communityrelations@ornge.ca.
Thank you for your support and commitment to keeping Ornge staff and our patients safe. By being a
CovidHero, we will be able to continue to fight to help flatten the curve.
