National Telecommunication Public Safety Week takes place April 8 to 14 2018. During this weeklong event, we proudly present the Telecommunicator of the Year Award.

Ornge is proud present our second annual Telecommunicator of the Year Award to Doug Davis.

Doug has been with the air ambulance program for more than 18 years and has consistently demonstrated professionalism on the job and with his colleagues.

"Every time Doug is working on my shift, I know it will be a good and productive shift. His experience helps make great decision and always seems cool under pressure. He is vital to our operation due to the respect he has for every one and their part to complete a call. And you can always count on him because of his dedication for this service that we provide the Ontario public." -Nominator

Congratulations to Doug on this well-deserved award!

We would also like to wish dispatchers across the country a great National Telecommunication Public Safety Week (April 8 to 14). Special thanks to everyone in Ornge’s Operations Control Centre for your efforts around the clock to move Ontario's patients quickly and efficiently with the right level of care. You should all be proud.

The Operations Control Centre (OCC) coordinates approximately 20,000 patient-related transports each year using our helicopters, fixed wing aircrafts, and critical care land ambulances from various bases across Ontario. Learn more about Ornge's OCC.
